Thank You cards

The last few months have been pretty busy for me. Still making cards but haven't found time to post. Here are a couple of quick and easy Thank You cards I made for a friend of mine.

I used stickers for this Thank You card.

I got this idea from a stamp show I attended last year.

I purchased the tag from The Orange Sparrow on Etsy.

I love the work and details she put into the tag.

Thank you for stopping by and keeping me on your blog rolls. I'll post more soon! Stay warm everyone.

Birthday Cards

Here are a few birthday cards my sister and I made....
My sister made this one using justjohanna's OBP stamps.
She used glitter and pop dots.

This one I made using ready-glitter stickers.

Instead of glitter, I used fun flock.

Here's another card I made using Urban Lily designer paper.

I like to cut out words from DP's and used it as a sentiment for the card.

Welcome Baby

I love these fun stamps from justjohanna's OBP.

I cut out the sling and placed the baby in it and I used pop dots to add dimension.

Gnomes

I usually start thinking about my holiday card designs at this time of the year. Time always seems to fly by for me when Halloween comes around. Here are a couple of holiday cards I made using justjohanna's Odd Bird Planet stamps.

Score!

Oh my, I didn't realize it's been awhile since I've posted anything. Time flies when you're having fun helping your kids with their homework and school projects.

Here's my entry for the Caardvarks Score challenge. I was thinking of a creative way to box my cards. I wanted to design a package that had a clear window so that the cards were in plain view and here's what I came up with.....

I scored 110 lb. white cardstock to make the box. For the cover, I used transparency paper. I use transparency films for copiers because they're thicker and cheaper. They're also durable enough to wet and dry emboss. To soften the corners, I rounded the edges with a round corner punch. For the finishing touch, I wrapped the box with ribbon. Sweet and simple!

Thanks for visiting!

The Chai Story

I came across a story that touched me deeply. If you have dogs, pets, or have a love for animals, I urge you to read The Chai Story and take action. I know this story will touch you as much as it did me.

Creative Work Space

I love seeing other people's creative work spaces, so I thought I'd share mine.

In the past, I'd go through my storage boxes and find (more like, "discover") things I didn't know I had. I've transferred a lot of my things in clear containers.

My husband made this storage shelf for me. It's actually a stand I use to sell my cards at craft fairs.

I store my stamps in two large storage boxes, but I keep my most favorite stamps within reach on the counter.

Thanks for visiting me and my creative work space. Let me know if you post pics of your space, I would love to see them!

Keep On Cooking

I had fun working with Keep On Cooking papers by Flair Designs.

Don't these look yummy?

I made a card and a recipe book. To add dimension, I cut out stamped images, and images from the Keep On Cooking papers, and raised them with pop dots.

To hold the papers together, I punched holes and used rings. Every other page is stamped with a justjohanna OBP stamp from the fruity and veggie collection.

Fun with Flair Designs

Here's a keepsake I made using justjohanna's OBP stamps and Flair Designs scrapbook collection, What's Cooking.

I love this sentiment, "Laughter is brightest where food is best", because it reminds me of my girlfriends. When we get together, we're usually sitting around the dinner table, with good food, good wine and always laughing! Good times!

Enjoy your weekend, girlfriends! Cheers!

If the Odd Bird Planet had its very own postage stamp, I imagined it would look like this.

And I would put the OBP postage stamp on a pretty little envelope!

Wedding Trends

I've hand addressed several hundred invitations since I opened my Etsy store and have noticed a trend in paper and ink colors this year. The most popular colors are different shades of green and brown. I've had many requests to address invitations in white, brown and black inks.

Here are samples of escort cards in the colors I've found most popular with today's brides.

If you're a bride-to-be in the San Francisco Bay Area, looking for a photographer, check out Loren Weltsch Photography. Loren's work is amazing.

Holy Cow!

I incorporated Odd Bird Planet stamps with this photo.

I love the sentiments and the cows!
