Stardream Envelopes

Metallic envelopes add a beautiful touch to your invitations. Unfortunately, most inks smudge and smear on metallic or shimmery envelopes, which is why I love Stardream envelopes!

Stardream envelopes are made in Italy and are available in a variety of colors and sizes. Although Stardream envelopes are metallic textured, I've had no problems hand addressing Stardream envelopes. And I'm so excited to tell you that I have found the best site to purchase these envelopes at great prices, Envelope Mall!

Envelope Mall sells A7 Stardream envelopes for $16.95, for a package of 100 envelopes. This price is almost a steal! Your invitations will look like you spent a fortune!

I gave away free handwriting samples at the fair.

Place Cards

I found these Martha Stewart place cards at Michael's. Each card is different.

There are creases on the back of each card to fold and create a stand.

I love the scalloped edges.

Calligraphy by 2inspire

I am pleased to now offer 2 slightly different styles of handwriting. The difference is very subtle but could impact the look and feel of your invitations. Here is a glimpse of my handwriting, a unique, one of a kind style.

Some people like to draw and doodle, I like to write!

Style 1

Below is a sample of the new style I now offer. The letters M, A and K are slightly different. I've noticed a lot of invitations with these letters written in this format. I wanted to offer something similar to a standard font yet maintaining a unique style.

Style 2

Please visit my Etsy store for more details, 2inspire designs.

Creative Ideas - Photos

Here is a site I found that I must share with all of you! It is called Big Huge Labs. There are so many creative ways to work with your photos on this site. If you're a sports fan and want to announce your engagement, how about the Trading Card Maker? Or make a magazine cover? Or a movie poster for all your guests to sign? Okay, okay, getting carried away. So, many twinspiring ideas! You just have to see for yourself, Big Huge Labs. Enjoy!

Change

Change is the only constant.
~Isaac Asimov

Since opening my Etsy store, in early 2008, I've hand addressed thousands of wedding invitations. Many brides-to-be have returned for additional services such as escort cards and favor tags. My business has also grown through referrals and for this, I am eternally grateful! It is sheer pleasure working with brides-to-be (grooms, too!) and many others involved in the wedding planning. After much thought, I've decided to veer my blog into a new direction. From this day forward, Twinspire will focus on twinspiring ideas for your wedding day and all the events that lead up to your BIG day. You'll find DIY projects for your wedding, handcrafted wedding items I find on Etsy and all things wedding related to twinspire you!

Escort Cards

It's been a while since my last post. I've been busy addressing save-the-date cards and wedding invitations. White ink, and classic black ink, have been the popular choice of color.

In between projects, I made a few escort cards using ribbons, stamps and rhinestones.

Even though I've been married for over 16 years, I dream about celebrating my 20th or 25th wedding anniversary. This time, I'd love to celebrate outdoors, at one of the local wineries in the SF Bay Area. A live band, my original bridesmaids and groomsmen, etc. Hmmmm, I sure can dream!

Thanks so much for visiting. I'll post again soon. In the meantime, check out this video I found on YouTube. It's of Lea Salonga's wedding a few years ago. She's sang her "I Do's". Be twinspired!

Do you save your scrap papers? I do. If there's room to stamp on it, I save it!

Here's a card I made using scrap papers from my scrappy stash.

Anniversary Card

CPS is having an anniversary celebration!
I made an anniversary cake card to help celebrate!

justjohanna's OBP stamp:
birdie cake

I used faux pearl strands from Michael's and Tiffany blue cardstock for the card. Tiffany blue and red seems to be a popular wedding color combo this season.

Dream

Sometimes, I can sit for hours and make just one card. Other times, I'm hit with a creative streak and I can make three to four cards in an hour. Does that ever happen to you?

I had one of those days when creative juices were flowing through me.

I made the envelope with vellum paper.

And I used lace and ribbon on the card to add dimension and texture.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a wonderful week!

Holiday Cards

Here's a look at my holiday cards. I wasn't able to send my cards out before Christmas but I did get them out before the New Year!

The theme was a little tropical. I used transparency paper and tucked our family photo inside the card. The starfish die cut is by Paper House. I traced the die cut with Stickles to add glitter.

Thanks for stopping by. I wish you peace for the New Year and always, and many creative blessings!
